The wild, wonderful world of wiggly worms or more simply “kitchen worm farming”. As you might well know, about a quarter of our waste stream is compostable food stuffs. We pay millions to bury wasted food.

The solution is not in our corporate or government rules and regulations, no, No, NO. It's less than six inches under your feet. Red Wiggler worms. Not the Night Crawlers you fish with but a smaller variety of worm that is voracious in turning food to highly useful worm compost. Their liquid leachate will fertilize your growing plants and reducing gardening costs. If you don't garden, you can donate to neighbors or to your local community garden.

And yes, you can do this in your kitchen. Some worm farmers initially will use the garage, but as you grow to realize, this process generates no smell, and the worms rarely escape. The bins just might find its way into your kitchen. Many of our grandmothers kept worm bins under the sink. Nowadays, most folk have a spot in the kitchen to proudly display your worm bin to show family, friends, heck the world! By worm wrangling, you are doing your part in protecting the planet.
