As part of the Onward California campaign to raise Californians’ awareness of the role UC plays in their lives, UC has produced a 30-second commercial. In the first four seconds of the ad, Darren Haver, UC Cooperative Extension advisor and South Coast Research & Extension Center director, is seen from behind as he walks through a carrot field at South Coast REC.

“We spent about four hours filming several different locations and they ended up utilizing a nematode carrot trial,” said Haver.
