Ethan Ireland

I have worked in feature film, television, and web-video production since 1998, and have a degree in Cinematic Arts & Technology from CSU Monterey Bay. Until I came to work for UCANR, I ran a freelance production business that specialized in science communication, and produced an award-winning feature documentary on the topic of neuroscience. I enjoy helping academics and scientists communicate their stories to the general public, and I particularly relish facilitating the translation of complex ideas into a format accessible by a lay audience while still retaining nuance and rigor. I have experience teaching media production skills as well, which I see as being a form of literacy.
