I learned about this wild mushroom camp some years ago and have been wanting since that time, to attend, but something always came up.  In my ongoing quest for adventure, I have decided that 2018 was the year in which I would enroll.  From all appearances, this is a long established camp and is held every year during the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend.  During the course of 3 days, you have the opportunity to attend classes and field trips which range from mushroom identification to foraging, to learning about the history and cultivation of mushrooms, to the culinary and medicinal uses for mushrooms.  There are even art classes which revolve around mushrooms.  

 

Cost is $375 per adult and covers room and board, meals and education for 3 days.  If you are not able to attend for any reason, stay tuned to this blog, as I will report back on my experiences at wild mushroom camp in future blog posts early next year.
