As a gardener, I enjoy visiting a variety of gardens whenever I go out of town and have the time. This gives me a chance to see how the gardens are designed, see plants I may not know, find some I want to try to grow, but not sure how they might fit in my own garden. Do you have these questions when you visit other gardens besides your own? Well if so-here is your chance to see gardens right here in Fairfield and maybe get some ideas for your garden.
The UCCE Master Gardeners of Solano County are having their first home garden tour, Sunday April 29, 2018 from 10am to 4pm.
Some of the gardens you will enjoy include, A Jewel Box garden, A Microclimate garden, A Sustainable garden, a Pollinator garden, and An Artist Retreat garden. In all there are 6 gardens to see.
If you purchase your tickets on line, you will get a receipt and then be notified where you can pick up your ticket and a map that shows each garden. To purchase them online go to http://www.solanomg.ucanr.edu.
The tickets can be purchased online or go into the UCCE Master Gardeners office located at 501 Texas St., Fairfield (lower level ) on Mondays from 10 to 12 and 1:30 to 4pm.
