Public Education Class: Planning your Spring Garden

Now is the time to plan your vegetable garden for the year. All the catalogs are coming and there are so many possibilities.  Come learn ideas to help you have a wonderful garden this year. This class will discuss:

• Building and maintaining healthy soil in your garden, preparation before planting, and soil care after planting.
• Planting considerations—observing micro-climates, choosing what to grow, and timing.
• Seeding and/or transplanting.
• Planning your irrigation and ways to protect your plants from both cold and heat.
• Don’t forget flowers for the pollinators.
