Small Farms Advisors and their teams serve small-scale farmers with diverse programs that address the needs of their counties' clientele. To meet those needs, staff:

- Small Farms Food Safety Team
- Offers workshops and technical assistance to aid small-scale growers in complying with federal food safety requirements.
- Groundwater & SGMA Team
- Offers technical assistance and educational resources to support growers with groundwater management and Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) compliance.
- Small Farms IPM Program
- Offers integrated pest management (IPM) tools developed specifically for small-scale operations to assist growers in managing pests using a variety of control methods.
- Grant & Bilingual Technical Assistance Team
- Offers bilingual technical assistance on a diversity of topics, including grant and incentive program application assistance, regulatory compliance, and agricultural production and marking technical assistance.
