Stanislaus County 4-H Creed Competition and Interview Contest

Stanislaus County 4-H will host the Creed Competition and Interview Contest at the Ag Center 3800 Cornucopia Way, Modesto, CA 95358, in the Harvest Hall on December 14, 2024.
Please read thoroughly to ensure you register in the correct category and division. Note that primary members cannot participate in the interview portion of this event.
Registration due date: December 11, 2024
Event registration start time: 8:30 AM
Open Ceremonies (Room D & E) start time: 9:00 AM
Creed Competition (Room B & C) start time: 9:15 AM
Interview Contest (Room A) start time: 9:30 AM

There are three Categories with age divisions in the competition. There is a non-competitive category for Primary members to participate in. (No awards other than participation acknowledgment are given to Primary members.)
Division One = Junior: 9 to 10 years old on December 31st, 2025
Division Two = Intermediate: 11 to 13 years old on December 31st, 2025
Division Three = Senior: 14 to 19 years old on December 31st, 2025. Seniors questions will not be provided before the Creed competition. All Senior questions will be given at the time of their presentation.
Category One will be for members reading from a written version of the Creed. Not open to Seniors
Category Two will be for members reciting the creed from memory.
Category Three will be for Primary members (reading or memorized)

The Danish system of judging is used. There will be a County Winner (Medalist) potentially awarded in each Category and Division. To receive the medal, the presentation must warrant county winner status. If you were a County Winner (Medalist) last year, you must move up to a higher division.
To Participate: Each member will recite the 4-H Creed and be asked a series of questions from the judges. A list of questions that could be asked is at the link above. (This does not apply to Seniors) Written answers cannot be used during the competition.
