2024-25 Academic Salary Program Announcement

General Salary Increase Program for policy-covered employees July 2024

We are pleased to share the good news that UC President Michael Drake has confirmed the decision to proceed with a 2024 general salary increase program for policy-covered academic appointees (i.e., employees not represented by a collective bargaining unit) at all UC locations.

For policy-covered academic appointees, the academic salary scales were increased by a general range adjustment of 4.2%, effective July 1, 2024. The regular peer-review merit advancement process for policy-covered academic appointees will continue per academic personnel policy. This program is separate and distinct from any UC ANR Market Adjustment program. Please see 2024-25 UCANR Academic Salary Program Announcement for guidelines and eligibility criteria.

Please note that this increase does not apply to represented employees and academic personnel who are receiving separate increases in accordance with applicable collective bargaining agreements.

Announcement: Academic Program Review and Advancement, 2024-2025 Review Cycle

As a reminder, every academic is required to participate in the 2024-2025 review cycle. Advancement actions were confirmed with supervisors in August and everyone else is to complete an Annual Evaluation. If you are a new academic who started October. 1, 2024, or later, the Goals and Objectives form is the only requirement for your action.

For those academics whose proposed action is a promotion or an indefinite review, you and your supervisor will receive an email from Anna Lee with a link to the Qualtrics Surveys which need to be completed and submitted so the VP can solicit letters of evaluation for your case. This email will also include your period of review (from/to) to help confirm the expected time frame for your packet.

The due date to submit your materials is December 9, 2024.
