LEATHER CREATIONS
Participants will create any leather accessory - purse, belt, wallet, saddlebag, key fob, etc. in any style, using any technique, and using leather, suede, faux leather.

SECTION B*: These categories do require enrollment in a 4-H clothing or textiles project:

The garment/s in these categories must be sewn by the member as part of a 4-H Clothing & Textiles Project* and modeled by the member at the Fashion Revue event.

TRADITIONAL*
Participants will construct a garment(s) and assemble an outfit that demonstrates their sewing skills and the ability to coordinate an outfit.

FAVORITE DECADE CHALLENGE*
Participants will create an outfit that is inspired by your favorite decade. The entry must state the year or period of the design and include a drawing, photo, or description of the classic design that is being reproduced or duplicated. Add accessories to complete the outfit that are reminiscent of that time period. The outfit must feature at least one handmade garment made by the member. Other pieces of the outfit must be representational and recognizable as belonging to the same era as the handmade component.
NEEDLEWORK*
Participants will create any type of needlework – embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, quilting, knitting, crochet, etc. You may use a kit.

UNIQUELY UPCYCLED*
Upcycling involves repurposing old clothing or textiles to create new and unique garments. This can include combining different pieces of a garment or other materials to create a fresh look. You can alter the items through sewing, embellishing, painting, dyeing, etc. An example would be combining sleeves from one garment to the bodice of another item to create your own, unique garment.

Participants are encouraged to read more detailed descriptions of these categories which can be found HERE
